Connected Lighting
LIGHT FOR THE CITIES OF THE FUTURE
Urban lighting is already traditionally configured as a systemic network of luminaires distributed throughout the territory. In Smart Cities, such devices become network nodes, capable of collating data and exchanging information with other nodes, with the network operator and also with users. This facilitates the precise monitoring and tailor-made management of urban lighting, which can be automatically adjusted, for example, according to the volume of vehicular or pedestrian traffic, the presence of people on crossings and weather conditions.

Applied to industrial illumination, smart lighting fits perfectly into a building automation context, itself one of the founding aspects of the Smart City.
LED lighting of warehouses and offices, combined with remote control systems, can mean reductions in energy costs of up to 80 per cent.
Scheduling maintenance remotely and only when truly necessary also ensures a longer service life and greater resistance to deterioration. All it takes is a smartphone with a fast internet connection to manage the light sources via an app.
